Nickel-Safe Ice Machine Cleaner is a specially designed citric and phosphoric acid formula for eliminating scale buildup in ice makers with nickel- or tin-plated evaporators. Developed in partnership with Manitowoc, it was the first product of its kind to ensure nickel safety. Use according to manufacturer guidelines or mix 5 fluid ounces per gallon of system water. During ice production, minerals in the water concentrate and form lime scale, which clogs distribution holes and restricts water flow, causing jams and reduced ice output. This cleaner effectively dissolves scale while being safe for both equipment and food contact.
