This CO2 refrigerant detector has a sensitivity of 0.18 oz/year (5 g/year) for R744 (CO2). The D-TEK CO2 uses a field-replaceable infrared sensing cell that is extremely selective to carbon dioxide. A technician can get consistent, accurate, and reliable results as the specialized infrared cells do not weaken over time and have a lifespan of approximately 1000 hours.
