The AIRCONcare™ Kit is designed to allow any homeowner to clean their own ductless split air conditioner fan coil unit without the hassle and danger of dismantling the unit.

The secret to  AIRCONcare's system is in the cleaning solution which is a 'super detergent' that effectively washes away all traces of biofilm without damaging the air conditioning unit at all.

The AIRCONcare cleaning solution is particularly effective in dislodging and dissolving bio-slime which is the "jelly substance" that tends to build up on your air conditioner cooling coils.

It is specifically designed to be safe for the blue epoxy coating on cooling coils.

    Use of Wash Bag
    • Cleaning A/C Fan Coil Units (Waste Water Catchment)
    • Allow Leaking Air Conditioners to operate (Emergency Mode)

Our Wash Bags come in two sizes.

    • Standard - FCU Length less than 950mm
    • Large - FCU Length from  950mm to 1500mm

To correctly size wash bags, measure the length of your fan coil unit to determine the right size you need.

    WHAT'S INCLUDED

    • Long Nose Sprayer*
    • Wash Bag (available size: Standard, Large)
    • AIRCONcare Chemical Solution (2000 ml) - no dilution needed

Each cleaning requires 500 ml per A/C coil and fan blade. This kit can clean up to 4x air conditioner coils. The wash bag is reusable 10 to 15x when used with correct care.

    * While you can use the long nozzle sprayer provided with our kit, we do suggest having a pressure garden sprayer or Hydrocell Pressure Washer to ease the rinsing step with fresh water. You should use as much freshwater as needed to flush out the dirt and bio-slime.

Our solution is designed not to leave any residue or coating behind after you rinse it. It is actually not a good idea to coat the coils with any coating after cleaning. Reason being, you can potentially modify the surface energy of the cooling coils thus speeding up the rate at which organics (skin flakes) and dust particles to cling to the surfaces which in turn act as food source for bacteria and mould. This is the reason why air conditioner engineers have put in a hydrophilic (repel adhesives) coating on the coils in the newer systems.

The way our solution works is it turns any surface it touches hydrophilic thus repelling any adhesive that is on it almost instantly. This then allows the organics (skin flakes), biofilm, and dirt to be washed away by rinsing and flushing with water.

Currently, conventional cleaning solution attacks and erodes the oxide layer of the aluminium to remove the biofilm. That is why you see a shiny coating after wash. The downside of this method is this strip mines the aluminium material off the cooling fins. There is a limit to how frequent one can use this method on an air conditioner. Plus, if you happen to leave some cleaning solution in the system, it will continue to corrode any metal it stays on.

Note: Hydrophilic coatings create low surface energy which repels anything that wants to stick to it. Hence, they reduce the rate of organic build-up and allow the condensate to flow smoothly over their surfaces. This means the condensate will drain effectively and not contribute to blocking the airflow and reducing the air conditioner efficiency.
